Lo scopo è di promuovere la riqualificazione del quartiere di San Cosmo ponendosi i seguenti obiettivi – The aim is to promote the redevelopment of the district of San Cosmo with the following goals:

• Favorirne le caratteristiche di luogo di incontro, di aggregazione sociale – Favoring the characteristics of the place of meeting, social gathering
• valorizzare l’identità di spazio pubblico, le qualità urbane e le valenze storiche presenti – enhance the identity of the public space, the urban qualities and historical value present

• Creazione di una nuova centralità nell’area di progetto che istauri un rapporto privilegiato con il quartiere di San Cosmo – Creating a new centrality in the project area that has a privileged relationship with the district of San Cosmo
• Definizione di un sistema di percorsi interni all’area di progetto (pedonali, ciclabili e stradali) che contribuisca a connettere l’area di progetto con la città di Acireale, la campagna e il sistema del verde circostante e in particolare con il nuovo parco urbano – Definition of a system of paths within the area of the project (pedestrian, cycling and road) that helps to connect the project area with the city of Acireale, the country and the system of the surrounding greenery and in particular with the new urban park
